This recipe is a pasta from the basics.
we all love pasta, especially my son.
Pasta with Home Made tomato sauce is super healthy and yummy. A bonus is the extra minerals like selenium, magnesium and Omega 3-6 fatty acids when we use fresh ingredients.
Pasta Marinara with sauce and veggies
Veggies: steam broccoli or fresh veg. of choice max 8 min.
-Pasta marinara sauce:
3 small organic roma tomatoes
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon coconut oil (here comes the omega’s)
1 tbl hemp seeds
3 tablespoons extra-virgin, cold-pressed olive oil
3 tablespoons yellow onion, diced
1 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup fresh basil ( or 1 dr. oil)
1/4 cup fresh oregano ( or 1 dr oil)
1/4 teaspoon sea salt or Himalayan crystal salt
2 cups sun-dried tomatoes (dry, not oil packed),
(keep them soaked in the fridge)
*Blend all together in a blender till a smooth texture.
Trasfer to a pot and warm up to 40 degr. before serving. A Secret for you who read this post: warming up raw food to 40 degr. increases the ability to absorb nutrients x10 !!
-sidedish: paprika & celleri with Cashewcheese:
1 cups raw cashews, soaked for at least one hour. (alternative is soaked sunflower seeds – rich in zinc)
2 tbl fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup filtered or spring water
1 teaspoon lemon zest ( the skin)
1/4 cup virgin, cold-pressed
coconut oil, melted
1 tsp salt
*Blend to a smooth texture, add water if needed. Leave out room temp. for 3 h. to increase the taste.
*Slice celleri and paprika in long sticks for a dip.
– Pasta – there is an amazing variety of bean pasta’s available these
days. Try them out! I love the taste and they are great. They are made
of lentils. chickpeas or other wholegrains. A glutenfree variety can
support the body ‘s detoxification.
– Decorate your sauce with sea salted olives, or radish when in season. Get your olives in water, dark glass jar (DO avoid metal canned, i really love italian speciality shops that have these great quailty olives). too complicated? Try avocados, always a good cholce of healthy fats. Olives are rich in magnesium and radish are rich in sulfor, silicon and folic acid which are beauty mineral.
